Problems of Measuring Irradiance in the Process of Laser Metal Treatment
The method for controlling irradiance from scattered and reflected laser radiation in the course of laser processing of metals implemented in a dosimeter implies measuring the irradiance of the operator’s workplace space only in processes with a fixed beam. Modern laser technologies are based on high-speed movements of laser beams; therefore, previously developed methods for monitoring laser irradiance parameters require fundamentally new approaches to methods of dosimetric monitoring. The article presents data on the specifics of measuring the irradiance of reflected and scattered laser radiation in the processing of metals with a moving laser beam and
discusses possible solutions to the problems encountered.
